10/19 Sun Evening Update

We were able to come home from the hospital late Friday night. Each time we are discharged from the hospital, I feel like we are escaping from prison and "freedom" tastes a little sweeter each time. Spending all that time in the hospital gives us a bit of cabin fever, so we are always thankful to have visitors in the hospital.

Our weekend was pretty low key. Ashley is still recovering from chemo. One of the meds from this past round makes her feel nauseous for days afterwards. So she wasn't the happiest camper this weekend. We did take the girls to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage and they both enjoyed that very much.

Ashley goes back this week to have chemo in her spine, but this week is just a clinic visit. Hooray! We are also hoping to get her physical therapy evaluation rescheduled soon. It's been frustrating because we've set up appointments and then had to cancel them because we ended up in the hospital. It's also been a challenge to find a therapist who will come to our home because Ashley will be immunosuppressed while she is going through chemo. Hopefully, we'll get that all squared away this week.
