Today was a trying day at the hospital. Ashley was very sick throughout most of the day. However, later in the evening she had a visit with the music therapist ... and each time she visits I am just so overcome with emotion because it is so amazing to see the positive effect it has on Ashley. Today she actually played with some of the instruments and was interacting more with the music therapist....which is a huge step forward for her because she has finally connected with and started to build some trust with someone in the hospital. Whereas up until now she was very upset by anyone and everyone that approached her. She's only two years old after all and she doesn't always understand why she is constantly being touched and hooked up to all these machines. Ashley also had some very special visitors who bought her more of her favorite blankets, since the one she brought with her to the hospital got messy when she got sick this morning.
Thank you for keeping Ashley in your prayers. I'll be very honest there have been times when it's been hard to remain hopeful, but we feel like God is hearing our prayers and we have such a renewed sense of hope that the new treatment plan will rid Ashley of the tumor.

We pray for little Ashley each night, asking God to give her the strength to fight this disease. I pray this new regimen works for her. She is such a precious little girl. Your in our thoughts and prayers.
